The Intersection of Agricultural Roots, Analytical Rigor, and Culinary Science

My journey began in South Georgia, where growing up on a cattle farm instilled in me a deep-seated work ethic and a foundational understanding of the food supply chain. This early exposure to agriculture eventually led me to Certified Ag, where I served as an Equipment and Technology Specialist. My time there—installing precision monitoring systems and building personal relationships with local farmers—was so impactful that it initially drove me to pursue Soil Science at the University of Georgia.

However, my path to finding my true calling was a process of discovery. After exploring pre-pharmacy, engineering, and business, I realized that my most enduring passion was rooted in the culinary arts. This spark first ignited at age 17, when I stepped into a Sous Chef role at a local steakhouse. Though it was a high-pressure environment for a young professional, I fell in love with the team dynamics and the challenge of creating a memorable experience through food.

Financial Discipline and Strategic Growth

In 2020, while navigating the global shift of the pandemic, I began studying the financial markets under the mentorship of my uncle. What started as a learning opportunity evolved into a sophisticated Asset Management practice. Through disciplined technical analysis and macroeconomic research, I reached a level of proficiency where I could financially support my education while managing multiple private capital accounts for others with total transparency and fiduciary integrity.

Is just begining

My Story

Culinary Mastery and Scientific Discovery

During this same period, I turned my kitchen into a laboratory. I transitioned from a regular home cook to a culinary expert, mastering everything from complex global cuisines and professional baking to the precise art of roasting my own coffee. This passion led me to an elective in food manufacturing, where I finally found the perfect marriage of my interests: Culinary Science and Nutrition.

My dedication to the major caught the attention of the department head, leading to my appointment as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. I contributed to two significant dairy sensory studies, notably spearheading the digital architecture for a yogurt preference study in Compusense and conducting over 50 hours of intensive peer-reviewed research to lay the groundwork for our findings.

The Path Forward

Today, as a UGA Alumnus, I am back on the family farm in South Georgia, supporting my family and managing operations as they transition into their later years. However, my own journey is just beginning. I am ready to translate my unique blend of agricultural heritage, financial discipline, and scientific expertise into the professional food industry. My goal is to bring this multifaceted perspective to a forward-thinking organization, using my degree and technical knowledge to drive quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
