Professional Philosophy & Future Goals

My professional philosophy is built on the belief that precision in the lab and discipline in the field are the dual engines of quality. Growing up on a South Georgia cattle farm and transitioning into the high-stakes worlds of sensory science and asset management has taught me that consistency is not an accident—it is the result of rigorous protocols and transparent communication. Whether I am calibrating a soil moisture probe, managing a private investment portfolio, or designing a sensory survey in Compusense, my approach remains rooted in fiduciary integrity and analytical excellence.

This mindset allows me to bridge the gap between technical data and the human experience, ensuring that every product I develop meets both rigorous safety standards and the highest levels of consumer satisfaction. By leveraging my extensive background in high-volume culinary leadership and specialized sensory research, I bring a unique "field-to-fork" perspective to complex product reformulation and quality management challenges. Ultimately, I am committed to utilizing this multifaceted toolkit to drive innovation and operational excellence within the global food supply chain, transforming scientific insights into reliable, market-ready solutions.

My Core Philosophy

  • Integrity-Driven Results: I believe in treating every project with the same level of accountability used in managing external capital accounts, ensuring that transparency and ethical standards are never compromised.

  • Scientific Rigor with Culinary Soul: I bridge the gap between technical data and the human experience. My goal is to use sensory science to ensure that "healthy" or "reformulated" never means a sacrifice in flavor or texture.

  • Operational Resilience: My experience in disorganized, high-pressure steakhouse kitchens and rugged agricultural field conditions has made me an expert at "spearheading recovery" when systems fail, ensuring that study validity and production goals are preserved.

  • Data-Backed Decision Making: I prioritize 50+ hours of peer-reviewed research and in-depth pattern recognition over guesswork to drive innovation in product development.

Strategic Goals

  • Lead Multi-Category R&D Initiatives: I aim to lead R&D and Product Development initiatives for major food and beverage organizations. My goal is to create products that people genuinely love and enjoy, whether that is a functional health snack bar or a breakthrough beverage for a global brand. For me, the ultimate fulfillment comes from combining culinary artistry with sensory science to develop products that solve consumer needs and bring joy to everyday life.

  • Integrated Supply Chain Leadership: I act as a strategic bridge between primary production and corporate R&D by leveraging my deep-rooted connections with South Georgia growers , my background in AgTech field operations , and an active professional network that includes the University of Georgia research community and product development teams at major organizations like Chick-fil-A.

  • Drive Product Reformulation: I am dedicated to engineering the next generation of food solutions by directing independent R&D to meet evolving dietary needs—including sugar-free, gluten-free, and sodium-reduced options—without compromising restaurant-quality sensory appeal. By utilizing iterative bench-top testing, formal sensory panels, and advanced food chemistry, I transform restricted-diet prototypes into viable, market-ready products that prioritize consumer enjoyment and regulatory compliance.

  • Visionary Food Industry Leadership: My long-term goal is to transition into Senior Management or Executive roles—such as VP of Product Development or Lead Sensory Scientist—where I can oversee complex Quality Management Systems (QMS) and foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence. By integrating my background in culinary science research with my experience in fiduciary asset management and large-scale agricultural operations, I aim to lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, market-ready consumer goods within the global food supply chain.

9+ Years of Culinary Mastery- From serving as the primary second-in-command under the Head Chef, directly overseeing kitchen operations, high-volume line production, and staff coordination to mastering global cuisines, baking, and artisanal coffee roasting, I bring nearly a decade of high-level culinary execution and flavor development to every project.

2 Major Sensory Research Studies- Directly involved in the execution, data collection, and analysis of in-depth fluid milk sensory studies at the University of Georgia. Provided critical technical support for a yogurt study, including survey design in Compusense and extensive analysis of foundational research papers.

3 Years of AgTech Field Operations- Managed the technical installation and calibration of precision agricultural monitoring systems across the Southern United States. Developed strong professional relationships with farmers across the region during three years of field operations with Certified Ag, building a reputation for reliability and technical support within the local agricultural community.

4+ Years of Asset Management- Entrusted with the fiduciary responsibility of managing multiple private investment portfolios, utilizing disciplined risk management and macroeconomic analysis. Maintain frequent and detailed communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on market shifts, portfolio performance, and the strategic rationale behind high-stakes decisions.
